Hi all sorry fo my bad english, im an italian girl!
I have an iPhone 2g with itunes 8.2 and firm 3.0
This in my problem:
I jailbreaked my phone with redsnow and ALL goes OK, it works beautyfull!
BUT
When i connect it to itunes and i try to restore my backup, itunes and the procedure end well with no error message, after that my iphone reboot.
When reboot appear the apple logo and the status bar. When the status bar is almost at 25% the phone freeze, nothing to do but a new virgin installation and a new jailbreak. I tryed all more than 5 times and with 2 different pc but all the same!
p.s. when itunes asked me i didnt choose "new phone", but an existing one
Please help me im becoming crazy!

Try again, but this time do not restore from back up, but set it as new iPhone. Good luck

BUT i loose all my contacts pictures ecc.
How can i restore them??

You can sync all again. Anyway, if the iPhone doesn't works, there is no point trying to restore it from backup

i tryed to sync again and again but everytimes it freeze and i have to reinstall 3.0 from itunes and jailbreack again.
I would like to extract from itunes backup contacts ecc so i can reinsert in the phone, cause normal restore crashes. Anyone help?

duck9000 is trying to say that you don't need to rely on a restore to put all your data back on your phone. just set up as new phone, then sync the phone to put your data back on.

Ok guys
i set up a new phone and i restored back my contacts from gmail contacts syncing with itunes.
It worked perfectly! But all my contacts pics are gone, thats ugly..
somone can tell me why?
Now i cant see no more contacts pic, its due to cmqil sync?

when they call me i cant see their pictures,
some 3.0 bug??
