ok so here's what happened to me
My sister bought an iphone 3gs and she went to a friends house and jailbroke it. I went over because she said it wouldnt read her sim i got there and told her she still needed to unlock it through Cydia but to go somewhere for them to do it just in case. Instead of listening to me she called Tmobile and they told her to restore the phone and to iclarified.com and follow instructions there. She restored but didnt understand anything else so when i came home she asked me to try and jailbreak it. I tried first ignoring the iPad baseband thing and the jailbreak would run smoothly until it would rick up on me so i would unbrick restore then try again until eventually I decided to use the iPad firmware thinking it may have its benefits. Of course at reboot it once again brick up and I went to unbrick it and as I did so of course it wouldnt restore because it now has ipad firmware. Also since the phone is brand new and my sister knows nothing she never saved the shsh file. So right now what I am doing is running DHL mode through iReb so i dont get any 1600 errors while also running TinyUmbrella so i dont get the 3194 error but i keep getting the 1015 error even though im downgrading to 4.1.2 i also tried 4.0.1 and im thinking of just going straight down to 3.1.3.... Don't publish your email on the internet like that, this is a stupid thing to do.

3194 error is 100% normal if you try and restore any IPSW older than 4.2.1 on your 3GS. Read up about SHSH SHSH - The iPhone Wiki - restoring to 3.1.3 won't help and will give you same error.
1015 is 100% normal when you use the iPad baseband. Read up http://www.hackint0sh.org/f204/196391.htm
Don't use iREB - we don't recommend or support it. ALso sn0wbreeze is not recommended or supported here. Use pwnagetool (yes I know you need OS X to run pwnagetool, that is your problem to solve)

It's not DHL mode - it's DFU mode

Two vital pieces of information that every single person with a 3GS forgets to mention:

Old or new bootrom?
What SHSH do you have saved.

My iphone 3gs is bricked. I have 4.2.1 installed with new ipad basesband 6.15.00 installed because i wanted to unlock. So i ultrasnow unlocked and also JB using redsnow.
Now i cannot Restore my phone using normal or Custom FW as i get errors in itunes.
Is this phone bricked? A repair guy had a go at fixing without success. Will i have to wait for another Custom IPSW release or do i create my own?
Any help would be great

You must ALWAYS make your own custom IPSW, anything else is illegal.

We only recommend pwnagetool - that means you need access to a mac.

The answers to your problem are here on this forum - you need to search/read rather than blindly try solutions like the 6.15 baseband unlock which were released with extensive release notes that highlighted your specific problem and gave details of workarounds
