    Default iOS 4.2.1. iPhone 4 jailbreak - help!

    ive been trying to jailbreak my iphone 4 with ios 4.2.1. usuing redsn0w 0.9.6b4, and when i select my ipsw file, it says "unable to recognize specified ipsw"

    what do i do?

    Download the correct IPSW from here: http://www.hackint0sh.org/f127/22056.htm

    It should be called: iPhone3,1_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw

    If it still doesn't work, then you likely have some sort of browser setting/addon.security software that messes with IPSW.

    Try downloading with a different browser or computer.
