Default HELP Unlocked/Jailbroken iPhone 3G - No Service "unable to load network list" message

First of all I apologize if the answer to my question is already in here, but after some looking I couldn't find anything that matched my situation. Here's where I'm at and what I've done so far.

    1) Prior to Sunday I had a working, unlocked iPhone 3G 8GB, running 3.1.2, using T-Mobile
    2) When I woke up Sunday morning my phone would not turn on past the apple, after some searching I realized I would need to restore using iTunes. This forced me to upgrade to the latest OS 4.2.1
    3) After more reading I realized 4.2.1 would not work with my current baseband (05.15.04) and I did not want to change my current baseband.
    4) I attempted to then downgrade my version to 4.1 (as I saw in some posts this was compatible with my current baseband) by doing the following
-Phone is fully restored to 4.2.1 OS
    -Download Redsn0w for Windows 0.9.6rc16
-Download 4.1 firmware for iPhone 3g that I choose in Redsn0w here /* Removed Link to Copyrighted Apple Software */
-Custom 4.1 firmware for iPhone 3g that I choose in itunes here /* Removed Link to Copyrighted Apple Software */
-Run Redsn0w, browse to the folder with the firmware that I downloaded for Redsn0w, after it is verified I clicked next, when it brought me to the form with the check boxes I chose only Enter pwned DFU mode, click next, turn off the phone, click next, follow instructions to go into DFU mode
-While in DFU mode I opened iTunes, Shift+Restore button, this then let me select the custom 4.1 firmware that I downloaded, clicked open, then okay for the phone to restore
-After the phone completed the restore I then went into Cydia, loaded the app as a developer, after all the scripts/packages/etc finished loading I chose manage, then sources, then chose repo666.ultrasn0w.com, chose ultrasn0w, then installed ultrasn0w, reboot
-When the reboot was complete I believe I would need to update my network settings
-Opened Safari, went to Unlockit - APN Changer for your iPhone Then Press Continue and then hit Custom APN. Now choose your Carrier. When Carrier is chosen then press Create Profile. Then hit Install. This set my APN to internet2.voicestream.com
-For MMS settings I did the following added source in Cydia " http://beta.leimobile.com/repo/ " Then install "T-Mobile MMS Fix/Simple Mobile MMS". Reboot
-Also under network, "Enable 3G" = Off, "Cellular Data" = On, "Data Roaming" = Off (also had this set to ON without luck), "Location Services" have been both ON and OFF with no luck

Currently when I start my phone it will either show "searching" in the upper left or just plain "No Service"

Any help would be great, sorry for the long post but I thought I would be as thorough as possible.

Thanks in advance for any help
