Ok i bought a iphone pre jailbroken and unlocked and crashed it.
I then went into iTunes and restored which updated it to the new whatever.
It the refused to accept my sim card.
I then jailbroke with redsn0w 0.9.4.
Iphone is now working BUT it has no service so i cant connect to the internet or make phone calls.(I know for sure that im in a serviceable area)

It is a iPhone 3G running version 3.1.3 with modem firmware 05.12.01.

What do I do so that my phone will work??

Or where should I post this? (diff site/diff thread etc..)

If you really updated to the latest - are you sure it still has that baseband? Ultrasn0w should be able to unlock that baseband. Have you installed ultrasn0w from cydia?

I was hoping there was a way to do it thru the computer so i could fix it tonight but it looks like im walking to maccas to get some wifi this morning hope it works then :S thank you anyway

See iClarified - iPhone - How to Auto Install a DEB File Using Cydia for how to do this without wifi - you just need to find a location for the ultrasn0w package

Also you might want to look at Cyder (a windows based app that can download and install cydia packages on your iPhone)
