Help! Jailbreak Iphone 3g with 4.1 software
I'm hoping that someone may be able to help me out, and found this forum so I thought I'd give it shot by asking.
I'd like to jailbreak my phone. I've never attempted it before, but have friends who have done it to their phones & like the different things they're able to do to it. The reason I'm asking for help is that I don't want to completely mess up my phone (as I have read that others have done with theirs) because this is my only form of communication as I don't have a home phone.
So... I have the iphone 3g with the 4.1 software downloaded through itunes. Can someone please tell me which program I can use to jailbreak, and maybe a tutorial on what I need to do?
I tried going to "jailbreakme.com" directly from my iphone, but it says that my software was too new and that I needed to "downgrade software" but again, not really sure how to do that either.... what can I say, I'm a newbie.
Thanks for any help you can give me!
