Default Help!! iPhone bricked while using redsn0w. Cannot restore on itunes. (error 23)

My iPhone was an unlocked and jailbreaked 2g with 1.1.3 firmware. I updated it to OS 3.0 on iTunes 8.2. Then I used redsn0w to jailbreak/unlock it. everything seemed fine till the “rebooting your iphone” step, but then I realized that I didn’t put it in the DFU mode correctly. Then everything worked out fine until the “setting baseband” part. It’s supposed to take up to 2 mins, but mine wasn’t finished even after 4 hours, so I forced reset it. Then I tried to restore the firmware on itunes in DFU mode, but I got the “iphone cannot be restored error (23)” message. Now my iPhone is permanently in a recover mode I think. The screen only shows either an apple sign or a USB cable plugging into iTunes sign. I’ve looked everywhere trying to fix this, but nothing worked. I tried using iBrick, QuickPWN, tried downgrading it to firmware 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 1.0, 1.1.3, pretty much everything, and now I’m clueless on what to do. Please help me, right now I don’t even have a phone!

    THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!

i think, your problem is, that your iphone is not in the dfu modus correctly. when you are in dfu, the iphonescreen has to be black(blank)! google, how to put iphone in dfu-mode or try:
when you have the usb-cable on the screen (with iphone connected to your pc), press the sleep button for at least 5 seconds, than, additionally, press the home-button (KEEP holding the sleep button) for another ~10 sec (screen should go black), than release the sleep-button, BUT KEEP HOLDING the home button until itunes recognizes your iphone. once more in this stage, your iphonescreen has to be blank (black).
when you are not successful with my proposal, pls try other tutorials for the dfu mode, but normally this should work.
you should be able than, to restore to fw 3.0
i did this very often on several 2G-iphones, when everything seemed to be stuck, when trying upgrades or beta-fws

    good luck

When you restore now (either DFU or regular restore) in iTunes 8.2, do you still get the error 23, or it says restore complete but you still get the Apple logo or connect to iTunes?
