can someone help me please I need a custom firmware. heres my situation I updated my iphone 3g to 4.2.1 then I used redsn0w to jailbreak and update the baseband to 6.15 cause I need to unlock. Everything worked but when I rebooted it got stuck on the apple boot logo and just kept looping I got into recovery mode and tried to restore but I got the 1015 error. right now the phone is stuck on recovery mode and I can't restore without the custom firmware. I'm thinking restoring with 4.2.1 without the baseband update would fix it? if someone knows the solution please help, you can email me at azidrain101 at yahoo.com your help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Buddy no need of custom firmware jailbreak it again by redsnow ..... no need of custom firmware... u just need to point stock 4.2.1 in redsnow thats it... it will overwrite the jailbreak....

It is ILLEGAL to distribute pre-made custom IPSW, so you will NEVER see links to these on hackint0sh.

However as explained by another poster, there are other solutions to get around your problem.

Usually, you should be able to bypass this error with TinyUmbrella The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella

When a restore ends with a 1015 error, and you are stuck in recovery mode. The solution is simple.

Launch Tiny Umbrella and, right click on your device in the list and select exit recovery. Your phone will be kicked out of recovery mode and you should see the progress bar on the phone followed by the "slide for emergency" screen (if redsn0w didn't automatically hacktivate for you)

Did you read my response before you asked the same question that I had already answered.

It is illegal to distribute custom IPSW. Make your own.
