Default Bricked baseband after downgrade with new redsn0w

    Hi,

got a 3GS which had 06.15 bb which I wanted to downgrade with new redsn0w. I ran redsn0w on windows xp and it went thru the whole process and took about 5 mins to flash the baseband but when I rebooted it still had ipad bb, So I tried it on a windows 7 PC and the exact same thing, said it flashed but still ipad bb. So finally I ran the new redsn0w on my mac, and now No wireless, no bluetooth, no signal and no baseband (blank).

a message came up on the phone saying, 'You cant send or receive calls etc) please restore your phone through itunes, so I connected it back to my windows 7 machine and restored with iTunes (this is the machine its synced with) and now its stuck in recovery mode with itunes error code -1.

So next i thought id try restoring signed 4.1 in pwnd dfu mode and get same error.

phone now stuck in recovery mode - with bricked baseband.

what can I do about this?

    thanks

No radio stuff reminds me of the No WiFI days from a failed flash.

You should be able to restore the iPad BB using Redsn0w 0.9.14b1:

Clear Cache in more Even More options.
Select a stock Apple unmodified IPSW (that matches the iOS version currently on the phone) in Select IPSW.
    Power Off Phone
    Click Jailbreak
    Select only Install iPad Baseband

    Hi, thanks for the reply,

I tried that and it worked intermittently and i left it sat on the desk doing nothing for about 10 minutes and it seems to be working fine now.

    thanks

I had the same problem. When you have no baseband, you have to manually preserve it from another stock FW.
5.12.01 worked great for me, and it's unlockable. When you are at the state of no BB, restore to a stock 3.1.3 FW via iTunes.
Read about it here: iPhone 3G iOS 4.2.1 No Wi-Fi and No Service after downgrade from 06.15.00 to 05.13.04
