AppStore doesn't work after update to OS 3.0 using RedSnow 0.71
Hi.
My original iPhone: OS 2.2, JB by Quickpwn.
This morning I install iTunes 8.2, then SHIFT-UPDATE to OS 3.0.
Then I run redsnow.
Evereything works fine. BUT, the AppStore and iTunes application on iPhone seem not to work. Everytime I open them, they just display loading... (and no button under the screen).
Anybody has the same problem? Please help me.
Thanks

hallo!
i'm on a 2G and no issues with appstore and itunes, but i did not update to 3.0, i made a restore!
Restore is also preferred in the tutorials from iClarified!

Thankyou for your reply. I update (not restore) because I don't want the baseband to be reflashed (I don't know wether it happens). On EDGE, Appstore and iTUnes store, however, work so well without any problem. And after I set EDGE settings, the phone runs extremely smooth (someone may not believe that but trust me, it did happen)
Oh by the way, after you restore your iPhone with OS 3.0 and before the Jailbreak, did you see the signal bar of your carrier at the "Connect to iTunes" activation screen? If you see the signal bar then I think the baseband didn't reflashed.
Thanks.

Redsn0wed twice myself, once with update and once with restore. Baseband firmware has not been updated for a long while now, and I haven't seen the neuter screen that was showing with QuickPWN, even to tell me that the baseband need not be reflashed.
Restoring solved the issue of youtube activation for me. Might be that what you experience is also some leftovers that will be cleaned with a restore.
Good luck!

you are welcome!
on the 2(!)G there was no change in baseband, so restore is not a problem.
i updated (!) an other 2G iphone this afternoon and i had no problems with applestore and itunes, so its hard to say, where your problem might come from.
but i think a clean restore is a good option
i dont remember exactly if there was a signalbar from the provider, but i think, there was one.

Run Cydia and update to the lastest mobilesubstrate
Quote from Saurik
MobileSubstrate 0.9.2941-1 (just released) solves the "MobileSubstrate kills iTunes Store" issue that many users have been reporting on 3.0.

I didn't install Cydia on my jailbreak phone so is it the problem due to redsnow or Cydia?
