While you are waiting - brush up on your understanding of terminology. There will never be an unlock for your bootrom.

bootrom - there are two of these. One for the baseband chip and one for the application chip. There are already application cpu bootrom exploits for the 3GS.

No bootrom exploits have been released for the baseband cpu on the 3GS, the only exploit found at a lower than baseband level in the last few years was on the 3G and allowed downgrade of baseband with the very first baseband bootloader (which sits in between the baseband bootrom and baseband). This exploit has long since been closed for new 3G devices.

Reports are that a new downgrade exploit at the baseband bootloader level might have been found. No idea if or when this will be released though.
