    Default 5.1 Jailbreak

    Hi guys,
I'm new here and I have a few questions for anyone that's got the time.
I've been having all sorts of trouble getting my iphone 4 jailbroken, i've been using the latest version of redsn0w on my mac and i just can't seem to get it to boot jailbroken.

I couldn't get it past the pineapple boot screen when i tried it the other night, since then i updated my version of redsn0w and managed to get it 'jailbroken' for about 10 minutes, I couldn't find corona so i added my sources (only about 6 of the main ones, nothing too shifty) and then i found it.
When i tried to download it it didn't let me so i just figured i'd live with tethered until i figured out what's going on, i then downloaded an android lockscreen and it downloaded smoothly, i could access the settings and what have you but shortly after i activated it springboard crashed, and crashed, and crashed, and crashed and i couldn't remove the app to fix the problem.

I then turned off my device and rebooted with redsn0w thinking it would work, but it just gets stuck on the pineapple boot screen every time so I decided to try and jb from scratch, i'd get as far as the screen of code before it would get stuck on 'transferring control to jailbreak.'

What do i do? After hours of trying and searching the web I'm seriously at my wits end, if anyone could help me out i'd greatly appreciate it.

    -I'm on 5.1
    -I have the 5.0 ipsw

If i've left any info out feel free to ask.

I think you probably made things worse by attempting to install the Corona untether, but since I don't know the error message, I can't say for sure. The Corona untether does NOT work for 5.1 yet -- do not attempt to install it.

Beyond that, it's common for things to not work well the day that the jailbreak is released, so the springboard crashing when you added an Android lockscreen doesn't surprise me. I really think people should NOT rush to upgrade their phones as quickly as they do -- no one has had a chance to test their packages to make sure they work on the new iOS, etc., and about 95% of problems people get themselves into would not have happened had they just waited a month for the tools and software to be updated.

In any case, I think your only real choice now is to do a stock restore to 5.1 and retry the jailbreak process, WITHOUT installing Corona, and (preferably) without installing the Android lockscreen mod that ended up crashing your springboard...
