Ok I unlocked the phone - but it still wont recognize the tmobile sim.

Ok I jailbreaked my iphone 3g 2.1 firmware already but my question is does the new quickpwn 2.1 UNLOCK the iphone 3g 2.1 firmware?? Can somebody just clarify this? thx

No, it doesn't. At this time there is no unlock for the iPhone 3G

Worked perfectly for me on 2 white italy 2.0.2 ootb 16 GB 3G w/o sim and netlock, on 2 italy 2.0.2 ootb 8 GB 3G w/o sim and netlock and on 2 old US ziphoned 8GB 1.1.4 2G!

All Phones are on 2.1 and everything works!

1. get the right firmware for your phone
2. Restore in ITUNES
3. Start Pwnage.exe
4. Followed the guide on ICLARIFIED
5. Ready to go!

Updatet to 2.1 successful, but i had on 2.0.2 the app categories installed,
and now all apps wich were packed in the folders are hidden
(so i cant find cydia or installer >:[ )

Is now the only way, to restore to old FW and got then all the old stuff on it?
but would that let appear the old 3rd party apps?

or is there any other way to solve this problem??

Bit of a N00b query here. I wanna QuickPwn my iPhone 3G which is currently running official 2.1 but just have a few questions, hope someone can help.

1. After completion, will I still be able to use iTunes as usual to upload stuff to and from the phone as long as I don't use restore ?

2. Does the handset need to be restored to a clean state prior to the pwnage ?

3. Can I just use iTunes restore to take it back to the official 2.1 firmware if I have problems ?

I have updated iphone to 2.1 through t itunes8. After has decided to make jailbreak with the help quickpwn. But quickpwn stops, when iphone enters into a recovery mode. I waited for 30 minutes while the following step is activated, but it has not happened. Please help to solve a problem. Thx
