Do I have the DFU problem with the 10.5.6 update?
I just had a new hard drive in my MacBook Pro (early 2008 so not unibody). The company that did it is an official Apple Support company. When I got it back, I had my computer updated to 10.5.6. I do have Quicktime Pro 7.5.5. When I do the software update for the system, it shows that Quicktime Pro 7.6 is available.
I have a 3G iPhone jailbroken with 2.2 FW on it. Do I need to worry about the DFU Problem? Can I just update to 2.2.1 and then Quickpwn the phone? I have always had great help with this site and would be very appreciative of any guidance I could be given.

I have been reading through that and I just wanted to know before I started if I needed to even worry about any of that stuff.
Also, i started with the "kernel_debug_kit_10.5.5_9f33" debug kit, and followed directions but when it says to install the .pkg file, I get stuck because that file is not in the disc image at all. It just places a folder on the desktop with files. Am I supposed to drag and drop them somewhere (maybe the Developer / Applications / Utilities?
Thanks for the help.
