Bootneuter doesn't works on iPhone 3G. Don't try it!
Hi good people. I have a problem. I got an iphone 3G from the USA that came with FW 2.0.1. I upgraded in itunes to 2.0.2. I then Quickpawned.
Unfortunately, The carrier section in Settings is greyed out. The phone is jaibroken alright with Cydia and Installer working just fine. WiFI also works fine.
I have tried bootneuter but it crashes with an error that "Need Repair : iPhone cannot make or receive calls". Any suggestions will be greatly welcomed.
winpawn has Neuter Grayed out during the Pawn process.
Thanks in advance.
John.

As iAlex said you can't unlock iPhone 3G's with PwnageTool or Winpwn. iPhone dev. Team, the developers of the PwnageTool, are still working on the unlock of the iPhone 3G. Until that time you will be unable to unlock your iPhone 3G with PwnageTool.
But you can use TurboSim or other iPhone 3G unlocking softwares but i haven't ever tried them before. So i can't give you any guarantee on these methods.

Please, do some research & read before to do anything on your iPhone. The iPhone 3G cannot be unlocked yet. There is a sticky about this: FYI: iPhone 3G cannot be unlocked yet
Also, thread moved & title edited from "Bootneuter failure"

Man that was a bad idea. Seeing as how the boot modifies files due to a exploit in the bootloader and the new phone has a bootloader that dosent have that exploit we could be looking at a major issue here as it could have done some damage to your bootloader...
