Could you Restore a fresh 2.0.2 to your phone.This may help to get your phone back.

Put in DFU then restore. Google for DFU. If that doesn't work you can upgrade to 2.1 witch update the BB again witch might fix it. If not then you sir are screwed.

I don't think they will EVER unlock a 3G phone. The key to get in is just too large. It will take 10000 years by brute force to do it.

If you want one unlocked, you will need to go to a country that sells unlocked phones, required by law someplaces. The price is way up there ($900 or so), but
gets you a legally unlocked phone
