    Did anyone try this with the Iphone? Some people claim it works fine, others say it doesn't... Anybody give it a try?

    That GUI tool only has the iPod1,1_2.1_5F137.bundle..

    So I think the answer is no

    nope it doesn't. As soon as you select the 2.1 ipsw firmware it justs sits there doing nothing!
    No option to continue
    It seems that it cannot recognize the 2.1 ipsw for iphone.

    I just updated my iPhone 2g PWN 2.0.2 to 2.1 in iTunes 8(Windows). Click update, after the update finished phone stayed unlock and active...no problems everything working fine. You will lose Cydia and all the third party apps.

    Raman, what was your baseband in 2.0.2?

    baseband from version 2.0, 2.0.1, 2.0.2 and 2.1 is the same: 04.05.04_G for 2G iphone.
