2G- Upgraded to 1.1.4 by ziphone. Can't restore 2.2 (Error:1602)
As the title suggests:
I have a 2G, with 1.1.4 broken by Ziphone.
Now I'm trying to upgrade to 2.2 by using the given instructions. Whenever I try to shift+restore 2.2 fw by itunes, I receive the error 1602.
How can I restore a (ziphone broken)1.1.4 to 2.2, in my PC.
Thanks in advance.
ps: itunes version: 8.0.2.20

Ok, I have a question. Last night I followed the instructions on iClarified for jailbreaking the iphone 2G (they are basically the same as these instructions, except it doesn't say check the "unlock" box) Well once I completed that, I had no service. So I restored again and let it sync up normally and I had service.
So my question is, since I am with AT&T do I still need to use the Unlock method inorder to jailbreak my phone and if I do that will I lose any of my features like visual voicemail or googlemaps? Sorry if its a n00b question I just know back in the 1.1.3 days this caused issues.

just for the record... there's no need to replace the logos.. that's only if you want a custom boot logo...

I had that problem with a friend's iphone and all I did was use iLiberty... I restored 1.1.4 with iTUNES and then jailbreak and unlock and activate with iLiberty and then restore to 2.2 with iTunes and QUICKPWN :p
