    Question

OK let me understand something here...

If Im n a Pwned 2.0, and want to go to 2.0.2 I just have to do nothing right? Cause I just updated my phone to 2.0.2 via iTunes and it was still jailbroken and activated... restarted it and still jailbroken and activated (obviously unlocked)...

So I did nothing, just upgraded via iTunes and thats it... works like a charm.

I thought I was going to need jailbraking at least...

Edit: Youtube works, App store works, all apps work, locate me works... calls in and out... 100% OK.

I have a first generation iPhone, with firmware 1.0.2, unlocked it almost a year ago... i have not touched it ever since.

I'm planning to update to 2.0.2 right now... QuickPwn seems simple to use...

    my question is...
Do I have to "virginize" my phone to 1.0.4.. in order for Quickpwn to work?
or it upgrades directly from 1.0.2 to 2.0.2?

THANK YOU FOR THE HELP!!!!! APPRECIATE IT!!!!!

You probably unlocked your iPhone at FW 1.0.2 with AnySIM 1.0.2 so you should virginize it first.
The thread is for antother purpose but if you jump in at step 14 you are set.

After virginizing is done restore the iPhone to FW 2.0.2 and then use Quickpwn (which is your choics).
--> So you dont have to restore to 1.1.4 before

Quite simple: if you do an upgrade to 2.0.2, everything works flawless after that; the iPhone remains unlocked and activated. But if you want to install third part app, you need to jailbreak it.

If you read the post, it applies to iUnlocker aswell. I thought (was hoping) you would have Installer on the iPhone, do you? If so, you are set, just dont update Installer when starting it.

    Default not connecting to itunes

ok, so I jailbroke a 2.0.2 original iphone, using Quickpwngui120.exe, and used iPhone1,1_2.0.2_5C1_Restore.ipsw. Alll worked fine....I then got bootneuter after I got wifi up...all good.

Issue is, when I connected to itunes, it wanted to restore from previous backup, so I let it...it failed half way through and now I get the message "itunes cannotread the contents of iphone. Goto summary tab in iphone preferences and click restore to restore to this phone to factory settings"

    Options??......

Use "setup as a new iPhone", this is way better anyway. Restore... might bring back old pref files that cause problems on the iPhone. After setup as a new iPhone use sync to get back addresses, calendar events, music, video etc on the iPhone

SO this wont be a Quick Pwn right? Better then use WinPwn.

QuickPwn is a quick way to jailbreaking and unlocking the phone.
Winpwn gives more customization and creation of customized firmware.

The "setup as new phone" that Volkspost mentioned has nothing to do with quickpwn or winpwn. It's the first time you connect the phone to the computer
