Anybody tried on new MB?
Hi,
I have a short question, anyone tried it on the new Macbook?
Is there still the issue that it wont recognize the iphone in dfu mode or is that solved?
I just have my MB with me, so I wanted to ask if its ok, before messing it up and not having a chance to get my iphone back to work.
Or any other available workaround?

I've tried it on a white macbook 2.4GHz bought shortly before the new macbook came out and it worked perfectly, DFU restored to 2.2 then quickpwned which unlocked, activated and jailbroke the iPhone. iTunes throws up connection errors throught the whole process after the DFU restore to 2.2 (I had my t-mobile UK SIM in the phone), but I just ignored them and once quickpwn had done its stuff iTunes was happy again. I didn't restore my backup since that can cause its own problems. The issue with the new macbook isn't with quickpwn, the new macbook won't even allow an untouched iphone to enter DFU mode. You could always try a boot camp setup to see if the windows driver for USB will allow DFU or not, if it does I'd suggest going that way to enter DFU and quickpwn on the windows side, then switch back to OS X to get set up again.

Hey
I've got a first gen iphone and updated via iTunes to 2.2 firmware and was sucessful. I then used quickpwn 2.2 to jailbreak and ihaz sucessful. At the moment it's showing the 'apple logo' and waiting for it to restart on the springboard. It has been vibrating a couple of times and iphoto was able to read the iPhone. Is this normal? Still on 'apple logo'

Do you boot windows on the on the new macbook or a regular PC? Might give some clues whether its a hardware problem or something in the new version of OSX if it works/doesn't work booting a bootcamp setup on the macbook.

Just booting up on the MacBooks Windows (I have Vista) side works for me at least. So it does deem to be a Max OSX-related issues

no service
Hi,
Problems with iPhone 2. Like other people, after running the upgrade 2,2 trough iTunes, then QuickPwn 2,2. Everuthing looked perfect but at the end I have a "no service" on the phone.
I did it first with a macbookAir, and I read of the problems. One of the solutions is said to use a usb hub. So I did it again with the hub (but it is one of those made for th MacbookAir and maybe it is the same problem..), same result..no service.
I have to say that in both time I didn't have problem to put the phone in dfu mode.
Then I tried with an Imac. Same result..."no service".
What can I do ??? Help!!
