first of all i wanna thank you for your time.. second: i think you didn`t understand me, cause i wanna have 2.1 firmware, i already have mi iphone in 1.1.3 unlocked and jaillbroked, just want to get 2.1 and im asking if that`s possible updating from itunes to 2.1 and using quickpwn.... obviously without loosing my contacts

Hey guys I am currently on an Unlocked and Jailborken 1.1.2 otb phone and I want to upgrade to an unlocked, jailbroken and activated 2.1. Now in iclarified tutorial it says "Select your iPhone from the list of devices on the left. Now hold down shift and click the Restore button. Restore is preferred as it won't create any wasted space on your iPhone". Does that mean I use iPhone1,1_2.1_5F136_Restore.ipsw file which would make my phone a locked an at a otb 2.1 and then run the process? Or can I just use quickpwn and upgrade straight to 2.1?

Yes (to the first question). Just follow the guide: first restore to 2.1 and then use QuickPwn, and you'll be fine

So as I understand the phone will be in a locked state through the process? But In the end I will have a jailbroken phone that can be used with any sim card.


And after I finish the process can I restore the backup or does it have to be setup as a new phone?

Yes, at the end the iPhone will be unlocked.

I'll set it as a new phone, in order to avoid any issues.

I am not able to run the QuickPwn.exe. I get an application error and it closes. Any ideas, what shall I do? Tested on Windows Vista with iTunes 8.0.0.35 installed on it. Thanks in advance!
