Quickpwn 1.5.1 rc3 problems
I am running windows xp with 7.7.1 itunes. I had upgraded to itunes 8 and firmare 2.1 but since i lost my activation i had to switc back to 7.7.1 and 2.0.2 now.
Ok, so i started quickpwn, selected Cydia+Unlock in menus and passed both the bootloader files 3.9 and 4.6.
now it tells me to connect my iphone 2g in switch on state, which i do... it detects it and imidiately puts it into restore mode.(cd+dock wire icon)
but, the screen instructions dont move on from there, they dont get highlighted.
i tried sevral times but they dont get highlighted. Now if i, close quickpwn here and then repeat the whole process again(keeping phone in restore mode), the screen instructions start from 5 seconds timer itself since the phone is in restore mode alredy and after doing everything mentioned in there, it says phone is not in correct mode.
Please help me i am stuck.. . Pls Pls Pls..a noob... in a new country now without a phone
Thanks and regards to all
any help people.....please...???
You just have to keep trying it can be tricky to get right, but I presume you have done it before. It depends on the apple mobile device support driver. make sure when you unistalled itunes 8 you also uninstalled this driver, so when you install 7.7 it installs the 7.7 version.
If you can wait a new quickpwn is due out today or tommorow it will be compatible with itunes 8 and firmware 2.1
Ill write up a guide as soon as I use it.
ok finally solved it...had to put my phone in restore mode ... then start quickpwn on 2.0.2 restore and then during the process went into dfu mode.
had to totally scrap out everything that itunes installed on my pc..including registery/apps data/ application data and program files then restart re-install 7.7.1
Mods..please close this thread.
