Default PWN or not to PWN

I read that if your iphone was already jailbroke and unlocked 2.0.2, then if you wanted to go to 2.1 you should just let itunes do it for you! Is that right?

I thought you had to re-pwn it each version..

Another question about that... If I do re-pwn my iphone won't I lose all my 3rd party apps and data? Is there a better way?

    Thanks

You do have to rejailbreak every time you upgrade or restore. The unlock only needs to be reapplied after a baseband firmware upgrade though (2.2 does include a BB upgrade).

You don't lose anything when you quickpwn, but if you use regular pwnagetool, then a restore is part of the process, so you would need to take all the necessary precautions in that case.
