Quickpwn and IMEI change?

I have a 2G iphone running 1.1.4 and i changedthe imei with ziphone.

If i update to 2.2 will the imei be reset and is there a way of changing the imei again or preserving the change i have done in ziphone?

I had an IMEI change as well and i updated to 2.1 and attempted to jailbreak it through QuickPwn, which was a failure, trying to get that fixed now. But anyways it had reset my IMEI back to the iPhone. It sucks, after i get my 2.1 running i probably will not be able to use SwirlyMMS. And currently there are no programs to change your imei right now. And you cannot use ZiPhone to do it again because ZiPhone was made to be used with 1.1.4 and below.
