iPhone stuck in connect screen
Yesterday I tried to upgrade my 2g phone from 1.4 to 2.0.1 using Quickpwn.
The process ran fine until the finish when the phone continually displayed the pineapple and moving wheel for over 30 mins.
I disconected and rebooted the phone and now the display defaults to the usb to itunes screen. I can, I think, get into the DFU.
I have tried to rerun the process with Quickpwn, Winpwn and Winpwn 2.5 (which seem to confirm the new upgraded version). It the latter 2 cases I get to the point of restore in iTunes and keep getting error 1601.
Any help please?

Thanks for help but it didn't work for me.
I connected the iphone to my mini mac and from there downloaded and installed 1.1.4 via itunes. It finished with a locked sim. I then took my phone back to my pc and ran ziphone which brought the phone back to life. I then restored the data via itunes on the pc, where I had my last backup.
So I now have a working version of 1.1.4 but I would love to get it to version 2 or above if you can help.

I'll try again with iTunes 8, iPhone FW 2.2 and QuickPwn. It should work. Also, set it as "new iPhone", in order to avoid any issues. Good luck. And stay away from ZiPhone. You're playing with fire

Thanks. I think its too late to set phone as new phone as I wanted to retrieve contacts, etc. Is there a dummy's guide for the process you mentioned?

Never is too late. Check this thread about DFU: [FW 2.x](2G&3G) DFU and recovery mode (getting in and out of). So DFU restore to 2.2 FW using iTunes 8, QuickPwn (just follow post #2)and don't forget to set it as a new iPhone. Good Luck
