I am currently using liberty+ unlocked 1.1.4 and I am wondering how is 2.1? Is it better or worse, in term of stablity to 1.1.4?

I just updated from 1.1.4 to 2.1. I can already tell 1.1.4 was better in terms of stability. However 2.x has a lot of new features and development for 1.x has stopped which made me make the jump.

Just what kind of stability problem do we have beside the signal problem?

In general more sluggish in operations. A few times calls went straight to voice mail (have to hard reset to fix). Programs closing automatically. But don't have any signal problems.

The thing that makes me sad: a lot of applications are not available in 2.x software. They were never upgraded or have since become pay apps in the app store. Idon't mind paying for some of the apps I really appreciated, but some jsut aren't worth it.

I felt like I could do a lot more with my phone with 1.1.x jailbreaks.

I miss the speed of 1.1.4. To be honest, the new Apps from the AppStore don't make up for them screwing the phone up so hard and having my SMS load time be around 10 seconds.... terrible.

1.1.4 was good, but I think 2.1 is the best 2.x until now...and everybody needs the new features I guess

Agree, 2.1 is the best 2.x, but 1.1.4 was more stable. I'm having fairly frequent crashes, particularly in Safari, with 2.1.

Typing lag in 2.1 is fixed however.

I think 2.1 is really great and seems iPhone has just been created!
apps and games are just great and and got no probs at all

I agree fully, 2.1 is the best firmware to be released yet...I encountered 2 bugs thought...
No e-mail checking in the background (whole bunch of people with this one) and if I turn off my phone and during that time I have a calendar alert the alert doesn't come on when I turn my phone back on....
