    Unhappy HELP!!!! Iphone 2.2.1 jailbreak gone wrong

    Hi alll.
    Ok.....
    I just updated my iphone 3g to 2.2.1.
    Then downloaded the new "Quickpwn" 2.2.5
    Did the whole jailbreak.
    Itunes says it found an iphone in recovery mode, and to continue using the iphone with itunes i need to restone... (can't restore)
    Anyway... files finish transfering and i get the green tick saying all is done. BUT.....
    My iphone 3g is just stuck on the apple logo and won't boot. I've tried jailbreaking it a few times, but always come to this stop. And every 5 minutes it keeps vibrating like its trying to connect. Someone please help me....

    You are posting in the 2G section, is it a 2G iPhone (first generation) or 3G as your post says?

    I have a similar problem as well. I accidentally updated to the 2.2.1 version which changed my baseband. I am soo pissed because now my phone is no longer jailbroke. Also the apps that i did have when it was jailbroke will not open. I cannot even get the apps that i have bought on itunes to sync onto my iphone soo I am pretty much "appless". This is awful i hope the people at yellowsn0w come out with a hack soon for the 2.2.1. This is soo new but does anyone know how to fix this shit?

    Concerning the phone function there is no fix for now - if it is a 3G iPhone. No baseband downgrade.

    This same thing happens with mine, do I just DFU restore to get it back to original state?


    iPhone "2G" - 3.1.3 - Jailbroken + iPhoDroid
    iPhone 4 - 4.0.2 - Not jailbroken (yet)

    @dwayne4200: if you only want to jailbreak it the latest QuickPWN (2.2.5 for MAC / 2.2.5-2 for PC) can jailbreak it. yellowsn0w is to unlock only.

    The 2G can be restored back to 2.2 since the update doesn't update the baseband from 2.28.00 to 02.30.03 but the 3G's baseband does and cannot be downgraded. The only option is to wait for a new yellowsn0w and meanwhile donate to the GREAT Dev-Team and hope for the best
