    Default [Help] How to unlock a 2G iPhone?

    Im trying to unlock 2.0 iphone for tmobile and im using http://iphone.unlock.no/otb112unlock.htm. when i restore it in itunes it gives me a 1601 eror not 1015 like it says in step 1 6. then it says to use1.02 firmware to reboot the iphone and it takes forever. then wen i call my self i cant get into contacts. some 1 help please

    Is it a first generation iPhone? Probably. You're completely wrong with iUnlock's site here. This is an old unlock way outdated. If it is a 1st generation iPhone, restore to Apple firmware 2.1 in iTunes 8 then use Quickpen. Check the forum here.

    its the a1203 model.can some 1 gimme a step by step what am i suppose to di. i also tryed ziphone and it stays in the recovery mode. how do i find what firmware i have

    Stay away from ZiPhone!
    DFU Restore to Apple Firmware 2.1 if this is a 1st generation iPhone. Use Quickpwn to jailbreak, activate, unlock.
    You dont even need to check the firmware, if it is not a brand ew iphone 3G you are set to go.
    Do some reading here

    can some 1 tell me where to find 2.1 firmware how to install in and what quickpwn to use what is dfu..... my iphone is stuck on the itunes with the plug screen i think its from ziphone how do i fix that.

    Dont be that lazy, search.

    general section for firmware, itunes for restore to 2.1, quickpwn section for the rest.

    yea i didnt .i wasent bieng lazy it was just confusing but i got it and quickpwn works on the 2g.if i did it any 1 can
