Firmware 2.2 and no SMS sending (only in original SIM country!)
Hello there.
I try to explain as best as I can:
I'm using an italian SIM in my iPhone 2G with QuickPwned 2.2 firmware. Since the upgrade from 2.0.1 to 2.2, I miss sending SMS from Italy. This are the scenarios: when in Italy, I can't send SMS (Error sending message, but how to debug further?). When I'm abroad (Switzerland, for example) and I'm in roaming, I send SMS without troubles.
I thought it could be because EDGE was enabled in Italy, therefor I used BossPrefs to disable it (and I also deleted the default APN to assure that no EDGE will be used). That wasn't the solution to my trouble, so... WHAT NOW? Any help?
Thanks in advance,
Bonny.

This isn't exactly a solution ... As no busy else has come up with anything u can :
Try downloading an app called easySMS from app store ... It's free.... You have to enter the SMS center number in it ..... U can get it from ur carriers help line ..... That should work
good luck
iphone 2g at 3.0 using unofficial sim
changed commboard at 1.1.4

Sorry, can't find any easySMS on AppStore: maybe it's not available in all countries yet?

Have you tried your Sim in another phone just to make sure its not a carrier problem?

Quickly putting the SIM into a Palm Treo 750, no SMS sending. Checked the SMS Settings and erased the ones not being used (Email and MMS): now it's working again!
