I searched around for an hour or so coulnd't really find a definitive answer.

My 2G basically locked up and I restored in Itunes. I did not shift click so I assume it was to the latest firmware as of today.

I did all this because I read this on the dev team site, quickpwn section:
"iPhone 2G (1st Generation): Update or Restore your iPhone 2G with iTunes then run QuickPwn to do the magic, ‘nuff said, you don’t need to worry about anything."

So I got the latest quickpwn for mac and immediately got a message that my firmware was not supported.

Did I miss something?
Is there a solution? If so, what is it.

btw, I was an early adopter of the 2G and appreciate all that I have learned from this site. I'm not a real techie and everything up til now I have been able to get through with all of your help.

I would download the 2.2.1 firmware to your PC from HERE & make sure you have Quickpwn version 2.2.5 and try again.
