Hey everyone, pretty new here.. and new to the iPhone itself.

I picked up an iPhone off someone yesterday for a decent price. Good condition everything. Jailbroken to 2.2.1 firmware. (i barely know all this stuff)

So, We noticed that everytime you lock the phone with the top lock-button, after maybe 10-15 seconds, when I hit to unlock, it freezes into a screen that looks like this..



not as much blue lines, but thats my quick drawing. a quick restart fixes it. but the bottom line is i cant use the lock feature.

everything else works fine. we tried to restore to the original iphone and upgrade again, and same thing.

anyone heard anything about this or have any in sight?

I would try a DFU restore to Apple stock firmware 2.2.1 then give it one more shot with Quickpwn. If this wont help I'd guess it is a hardware problem.

yea that and set it up as a new phone in itunes...( donot restore from back up..)
