I am a long time unregistered reader and usually using the search worked out for my problems.

But now a friend gave me his Iphone 2G, he accidently updated in Itunes. Now all it calls for connecting it to Itunes.

Before the Update it was running on one of the first Software versions, probably 1.0.1 or 1.0.2.

My questions:

1.) What is the best way to activate and jailbreak?
2.) Do I need to virginize first?


My Idea was to downgrade back to the 1.0.2 and than virginize, update back to the latest and than run one Quick or Winpnw.

If the upgrade was successfull you should not have to virginize it. Just use pwnage(MAC) or winpwn and run the program to Activate, Jailbreak and unlock (if needed).
