*** EDIT FINALLY got it into recovery mode via my 20millionth attempt at DFU mode. ******

Hey everyone, I've been reading these forums for the last few days and none of the solutions posted are working for me.

My problem is I had my iPhone 3G unlocked and working but then got an iPhone 4 so went to reset it to clear the phone and give it to my sister. Problem is I reset it and it got stuck on the Pineapple logo and so i put it into recovery mode and plugged it into my iMac but then i was late for class so had to run and left it to do later but then without thinking i turned off my computer and since then I have not been able to get my iMac or my Macbook pro to recognize my iPhone.

I can turn it on, but it just stays at the Pineapple screen and keeps rebooting every once in a while but if I turn it off (have to hold home/Power to force is off) then hold the home button and plug it in neither computer recognizes it and thus it won't go into recovery mode.

Please someone help!

I know this Master Reset issue has been covered but the general solution is "hold the home button and plug it in so its in recovery mode and you can restore it with an authentic Apple IPSW" but i can't get it into recovery more.
