    Default [winpwn]pwning in restore mode

    hi all,
I've just pwned my iphone, I've got the ipsw, but now I've got problem with restoring since I don't have the original AT&T sim, so if I connect phone to itunes with o2 sim, I get 'wrong sim' screen, and if i don't insert sim I get 'insert sim' error. So my question is as i can't access the restore button, can I pwn my phone from restore mode ?

IGNORE THIS - see Sproglet's post.

I think you'll need to put the phone in restore mode so that iTunes tells you to install a new firmware. Hold the power button and home button for ten seconds, then release the power button (but keep holding home).

iTunes should pop up and tell you that it's found an iPhone in restore mode, and you can then shift click the restore button.

No. That will put you in DFU mode not restore mode. You shouldn't try custom ipsw in DFU.
Disconnect the phone then turn it off (hold power then slide to turn off)
The hold home then plug back in keep holding home till the restore mode screen appears. You can now install the custom IPSW.

thx for reply, just wan't sure whether I can use pwn during restore mode...
Anyway after extracting package and preparing for restore I always get an error, so I guess I will have to wait for the regular hopefully not buggy version

winpwn works fine. you needa make sure your phone is pwned with ipwner before it can accept custom ipsw files. i've used it multiple times in the past 24 hours so i know it works flawless.
