Ok I spent 4 hours last night and still couldn't get it to work. I am running windows and have an iTouch, not the iPhone. I read on here you just had to winpwn 1.1.4 then restore with the new ipsw. But that didn't work. The steps I was trying were.

downgrade itunes from 7.7 to 7.5
restore 1.1.4
winpwn it (It says pwn, but it never gave me the installer)
then it says install bootneuter.. but I cant because I dont have the installer. So did it not pwn properly? I was in DFU mode, and got back into 1.1.4 just fine, then ran pwn and everything looked good. I need help on how to get pwnage tool 2.0.1 to work on windows. How do I get the installer to download bootneuter after I pwn it. Pwning it didn't seem to do anything for me. It took me forever because I put it in DFU mode before downgraded itunes, and it woulnt' reconize it, so I had to upgrade back to 7.7, then store 2.0, then downgrade ot 7.5, then dowgrade to 1.1.4, then pwn it, i tired to restore 1.1.4 and pwn it several times and still nothing. Plz help.

Edit: after I pwned it, I downlaoded ziphone and got the isntaller and downlaoded bootneuter... but it got stuck on "checking settings" whats up.

try this
restore to stock 1.1.4 and unlock with iLiberty
do what you want with bootneuter
using winpwn pwn your iphone
make sure u have itunes 7.7 and restore using custome ipsw 2.0
if u get error 1601 then u need to uninstall itunes, quicktime and then re install 1601
it took me 3 hrs to get this to work but according to me its not worth it

ok, so do I need to use bootneuter for the itouch? or is that only for the iPhone?

bootneuter is only for iphones im sure (not really) but make sure u get an itouch ipsw and not an iphone ipsw

Not the iPhone?

Hmmm... IF you are on 1.1.4 then your options would be to update to the free 1.1.5 or buy the 2.0 for the iPod.

Perhaps you restored an iPhone firmware on a iPod touch.

I tried again last night. I know where I went wrong, When i pwned it, I never made the custom ipsw and added installer. I did that now. Do i have pwned and jailbroken 1.1.4, then upgraded to itun 7.7 and tried to restore to the pwnage 2.0 firmware, but I got unkown error (1601). Any other help?
