[Winpwn] cannot connect to internet
tried running winpwn recently. when it first started i get:
-failed to load image catalogue
-failed to load payload catalogue
after that i follow thru the processes to get my iphone pwned sucessfully.
however, when i click ipsw builder, i notice no sources are listed, and the message : CANNOT CONNECT TO INTERNET. what could be the problem?
There is no problems with the wifi, its the same computer i am writing this with.

tried all of the above. Both winpwn versions have the same problm.
previouly no problem when i used another laptop. but have to creat ipsw again, because i forgot to add the installer.app , so phone is working, but no installer icon or functions.
Tried turning off the firewall, close ituneshelper etc, didnt help

If I dont get the complete thread wrong what you have is a connection problem to the internet with your computer. All the mentioned "errors2 lead to the conclusion that winpwn cant get the stuff from the internet like listing of payloads, images etc.
Besides turning off the firewall on the computer, does a built in firewall in your router/modem block any traffic?
If you have a DSL-Router with built in firwall, try switching this off just for building the custom fw file.
hope that helps

I got the same message, failed to load image catalogue & failed to load payload catalogue, but I have no problems with the IPSW builder. Strange.
I'll check my router, as volkspost said.

you're right bro.
i tried to disable the router firewall (linksys), and still cannot connect, dont know why?
so i went back to my office and successfully done the ipsw file. so i have created one, and going home tonight and load the new ipsw into the iphone. (iphone is my wife's, so i cannot bring to office).
just one thing, can i just pwn my phone (already previously unlocked using winpwn), or reload the original restore 1.1.4 file first before doing it?

Try to add the OpenDNS in your computer's connection settings. (208.67.222.222)
Also check if your firewall is not blocking access to IPSW Builder.

As I said above. Check the router, your Linksys. Disable (just to check) the firewall. If this wont help, set the above mentioned DNS server in the router as DNS. Give it a try
