Unhappy [WIFI] strange problem after PWNAGE

I tried to set up two iPhones, both PWNED, with the router at the office which uses a static ip.

after entering the settings, the wifi icon on the status bar dissappears. In the network settings everythig shows i am connected, but no wifi icon on status bar.

    and cannot get online

then when i remove the subnet-mask numbers, the icon comes back.

i managed to get online with one phone only. if i restart then the icon dissapears again.

though it works fine at home using DHCP connection.

Can someone confirm this as an issue with the PWANAGE or IPHONE, if not then i wil have to replace the router.

    ANYBODY WITH THIS EXPERIENCE???

I just set mine up with a static address there and works fine. If you are using static you will need to put the default address of the router and the address of your dns server. You probably know this but thought i would check.

I'm having a similar issue. Static IPs work fine when assigned, wifi connection icon flashes on and off when attempting to connect to a DHCP system.

Need DHCP for my work wifi. Any ideas? Tried building a couple new IPSWs with no luck.

Problem is probably at your office wifi router. Do you have control over that access-point, do you know how it is setup. If you do, you can verify the settings such as SSID, encryption type, netmask, mac address restriction and etc ...

If it works fine at home then there is nothing wrong with your pwned iphone.

The only difference between home and office is the connection type, home - DHCP and office STATIC, i have access to the office router, can you give details of what and how to or what to change to, please, thank you in advance

what kind of wifi router is it (brand & model #).
your wifi router WAN port is probably connected to the office ethernet LAN right? How is WAN interface configured (static or dhcp) ?.
Your wifi router has a WAN and LAN interface and wireless interface. What is the IP address assigned to the LAN ? and the subnet mask?
Is the wireless broadcasting SSID? does it have encryption turned on?

In my case, I know it had to do with Pwnage and is not a router since I was getting wifi fine the five minutes before I pwned with custom package. Did a reset all and reset all network settings, no dice. Any ideas other than a restore? Have restored twice now and only the Apple official firmware connects to DHCP wifi properly.
