So I just got an iPhone and I want to jailbreak it with pwn and I am also worried about their being any longtime effects of me doing it.

As it is right now, I can't even use it as a phone since the phone is locked to AT&T and I am a Tmobile customer. But the iPhone 3g was activated in the AT&T store. So does that void my chance of being able to jailbreak it since everyone I hear talks about being able to update to 2.01 but mine came with 2.01 so I am assuming AT&T did that upgrade to my phone already.

Sorry for the long drawn out question, but I am just trying to get back into this whole thing and just want to make sure it is still safe to pwn my 3g iphone.

Prepster; It doesn't "void" your chance of unlocking your phone in the future, just lessens your chance a little bit. When the iPhone 3G first came out, the dev-team baseband members obviously went straight to work. Their exploit (if they have one yet) could be something that was fixed in the newer firmware updates... But they don't know... so they say don't upgrade just for precautionary issues. But since alot of people who want to unlock the phone bought it at the time or after the time you did (hey it has only been out for a month), I'm sure they will find a fix for the newer versions as well.

Can one pwnage there Phone then end up un-unlocking it, so going backwards basically. I hear all these things about Baseband changes, that lets Apple know that you have unlocked, so can you unlock without changing your baseband
