Default Upgraded my 3GS to 4.1 and its now in Finnish

I just upgraded my formerly jailbroken and unlocked 3GS (@4.0.2) to 4.1 using Pwnagetool. I have saved all my shsh blobs back to 3.1.2 (including 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2). The 3GS has an old boot rom (5.13.04). I saved a custom ipsw for 4.1 but when I successfully finished the 'upgrage', the basic language of the phone is now Finnish (or some other Scandanavian language) not English. The apps function in English but all settings etc., are in whatever this foreign language is. Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone know how I can return the basic language to English?! Alternatively, I could return to the previous version (4.0) if this will help. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks.

    Model number of iPhone?

Did it originally come from Scandinavia? The software is smart enough to detect model number and default to the language of the country it was originally sold in.

The order of items in the menus within settings app are not changed when you switch languages, so you should be able to navigate to the language section by comparing with another iPhone running English.

On 4.1 (iPhone 4) launch settings
Find 3rd section, tap first item (general in English)
Find 5th section, tap third item (international in English)
Tap First item (language in english)
Look for Englanti (English in Finnish)

YAY! I think the language was actually Danish! I didn't realize that I could change the language (dumb me!). This did the trick and the iPhone is now in English. I guess in this case the SW was too dumb to figure out the home country perhaps due to the jailbreak(?). In any case, many Thanks to Olethros. FYI, it was purchased new in the US from the AT&T store in June 09. I DID read and search the forum for "wrong language", "language" and various permutations with "3gs" and "iPhone 3GS" but found nothing. But now if anyone else has encountered this problem, the solution is here. Thanks again!!!
