Don't know if can help ...
To display Russian special number as 8000 instead of 8 (000)
    save original file:
    /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppSupport.framework/Default.phoneformat
    substitute with:
    http://rapidshare.com/files/43225638...oneformat.html
    check file permissions = 644 (owner:rw- group:r-- world:r--) should already be
    and restart.

    Hi Frank8!
I was read all post about Default.phoneformat, but i don't understand how do you do that.
If do you have mood and little time for explain to me which soft (i'm working on mac) i need for convert text ( L1 , L2 , 1 , ( 0 , 00 ))
    ( 1 , 2 ,
    ( 1 , 9 , 9 , 0 , 1 , str_00 )
    ( 1 , 9 , 10 , 0 , 1 , str_12 )
    (
    Str_00 n## #######
Str_12 n### ####### ) into binary code and how find in hex right place for making change, also, i need overwrite or insert. Where can i find more detailed information about where come from str_1, str_2, str...etc, about operation like 0x7631 + 0x9D0 = 0x8001 and so on.

I would really appreciate for the link to the information of this kind, and everything related to editing file Default.phoneformat.

I have iPhone 4 and iOS4.1. I'm from Russia, but i living in Germany. I like format +## (###) ###-#### (that's russian formatting). German format +## ### ######## hard to read for me without "-".

Strange for me is in my contacts russians numbers formatter like i need (+7 (###) ###-##-##), but in SAME time german not (+## ### ########). How make one formatting for all phone numbers?

    Thank you!

    Hi Frank8 again
    Forget about my asking!
    I resolve this problem
I find easy way (thanks to chinas developers http://bbs.weiphone.com/read-htm-tid-165201.html). They was made PC application for editing Default.phoneformat without programmer skills. And I ported that soft for MacOSX.

    PC Link:
    http://rapidshare.com/files/432354593/PFEditor.exe

    MacOSX Link:
    http://rapidshare.com/files/432354720/iPhone_Format.zip

    Best regards, Eduard.

Probably could have been recognized in old version FW2.x that used "Last 7 Digits Match" , but after reporting from people in Pakistan who has family members with same number and different prefix I preferred the "Full Digits Match" in FW3.0 version , also because it's now impossible to differentiate between Formatting and Caller ID rules.
The upgrade for 8 digits city is a patch of FW3.0 and should have same behavior.

    What I can do is a new patch for for UAN 11 digits numbers +92 (xx) xxx-xxx-xxx ; (0xx) xxx-xxx-xxx ; +92 111 xxx xxx

    save original file:
    /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppSupport.framework/Default.phoneformat
    Substitute with:
RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting
(check file permissions = 644) and restart.
    It works!!! thanks Frank!!!!

The transfer of "CallerID-Format Fix" to BigBoss repo is in progress.
    I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey all. This is especially for MacGirl.

You said you changed the US region format to display numbers for Mexico.

    xxx xx xxxx xxxx
    xx xx xxxx xxxx
    xx xxxx xxxx
    xxxx xxxx

I have a jailbroken ios 3.1.3. I want to do the exact same thing. How did you do it? How can I do this? I have no idea how to edit a hex file, and I can't find the Format Fix app anywhere. Besides, looking at the documentation, I'm not sure it adjusts Mexican formats anyway. It's very annoying that Apple hasn't taken the time to do this. Thanks!

Could you provide the modified file with the prefix and formatting for Bangladesh? I'm running iOS4.1. Thanks
