    Thank you for your work!
I've updated several rules for DP and DN regions in Ukraine.
I'm not shure if rules for other regions are 100% correct, but I'll try to check and update them later.

For now here is updated ruleset for Ukraine:
RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting

    Thank you again!

Hello Frank and thanks a million for your solution for the new 8-digit land line numbers for Pakistan.

However, the problem i'm facing on my iphone 3g 3.0 is that although the number formatting is correctly displayed for these new 8 digit numbers as +92 (##) ####-#### BUT when I receive a call from any of these new 8 digit numbers, the name is not displayed. The caller id does not recognize these new numbers even though they are now correctly displayed.

    Please help.

    Thanks

The Caller ID problem is ONLY with these new 8 digits numbers ?

Please give me a generic example of a number that does not work :
how is saved in address book
what is displayed instead of the name

Hi Frank, the issue is coming from the new 8 digit numbers only. I save all my numbers as +92 (##) ####-#### So even though these numbers are being correctly formatted the caller ID won't recognize them when a call's received. When I receive a call from a new 8-digit landline no. it is displayed on screen as (021) ####-#### (the zero before the area displays though I save all numbers without zero before the codes to be able to dial internationally).

The cell numbers in phone calls & SMS BOTH are being recognized fine. However strangely MMS from the same cell # is NOT recognized & displayed as 92##########. Therefore it's just the landline numbers & MMS that go unrecognized.

Also one request, we also have 'Universal Access Numbers' that are 11 digits including the city area code. They are not being formatted and should be formatted as +92 (##) ###-###-###. Can you please also add them in the formatting.

    Thanks a lot

Edit: Frank, i'm sorry for being the biggest idiot on earth. The eight digit new numbers works PERFECTLY with your updated format file. I was being dumb and checking the caller id from a number which i had not updated in my addressbook to reflect the new 8 digit number (the 7 digit is still working for a short while). I'M SORRY. i'm embarassed truly

However, as told to you earlier, the MMS issue is still there. i've checked and double checked before posting this. MMS received is not recognized even though SMS is recognized fine. So for MMS received i'm getting a separate entry in my inbox and the number displayed is 92########## (without the plus sign before 92 and all in one line without any formatting)

Before i applied the 8 digit format update file, the MMS & SMS were both being recognized and would appear in the same thread for the same number.

As requested earlier, we also have 'Universal Access Numbers' that are 11 digits including the city area code. They are not being formatted and should be formatted as +92 (##) ###-###-###. Can you please also add them in the formatting.

Thanks again & sorry for any inconvenience.

If the plus before 92 is omitted in MMS (ask why to the operator) the number is interpreted as a local 12 digits and cannot be recognized or formatted .

Probably could have been recognized in old version FW2.x that used "Last 7 Digits Match" , but after reporting from people in Pakistan who has family members with same number and different prefix I preferred the "Full Digits Match" in FW3.0 version , also because it's now impossible to differentiate between Formatting and Caller ID rules.
The upgrade for 8 digits city is a patch of FW3.0 and should have same behavior.

    What I can do is a new patch for for UAN 11 digits numbers +92 (xx) xxx-xxx-xxx ; (0xx) xxx-xxx-xxx ; +92 111 xxx xxx

    save original file:
    /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppSupport.framework/Default.phoneformat

RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting
(check file permissions = 644) and restart.

Thank you so much Frank for your amazing help. Everything works and the UAN numbers also format perfectly.

You're right about the MMS, the issue is at my operator's end. When other operators' send an MMS, the '+' is displayed and the caller id is displayed fine.

The 'Full Digits Match' is great and just what we need.

Thanks for all your help & effort. Bless you!
