    one used for number formatting:
    System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/PhoneFormat/UIDefaultFormat.phoneformat
    and the other used for Caller ID:
    System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppSupport.framework/Default.phoneformat
    Something in the rules define how the match is done. Although I'm still not able to determine how the match size is determined, I've found that the rules in the AppSupport directory can be simple enough to define the match size and the sets CAN BE DIFFERENT IN EACH CASE.

    I did this for my rules and now I can have both a 8 digits number to name matching as well as the proper number formating.

    I will try to figure out how it's done to allow for a "almost" common file.

    Hi everyone,

    Can anyone please fix the files for Macedonia. I tried to edit these hex files for 2.1 and never managed to do it, it was way too complicated. Here is what I used to put in PhoneNumberTemplate.plist:

    <key>mk</key>
    <array>
    <array>
    <string>389</string>
    <string>00</string>
    <string>0</string>
    <integer>1</integer>
    <integer>7</integer>
    </array>
    <array>
    <string>389</string>
    <string>00</string>
    <string>0</string>
    <integer>2</integer>
    <integer>6</integer>
    </array>
    <array>
    <string>389</string>
    <string>00</string>
    <string>0</string>
    <integer>3</integer>
    <integer>5</integer>
    </array>
    </array>

    And here is the formatting:

    +389 2 xxx xxxx geographic numbers - Skopje
    +389 3x xxx xxx geographic numbers
    +389 4x xxx xxx geographic numbers
    +389 5xx x xx xx premium, value added, shared revenue
    +389 7x xxx xxx mobile
    +389 8xx x xx xx freephone, shared cost

    1xx is general short code format (e.g. 112 for emergency); 10xx format is for carrier access.

    Thanks in advance.

    OK, but I copied, the info for slovenia from UIDefaultFormat.phoneformat file to Default.phoneformat and now my iPhone recognizes incoming calls, which it didn't before.

    I'm not lying, for me it works. Seems that I had luck with this one.

    Can someone provide us with a fix for Lebanon?
    The things we added to fix Caller ID in the 2.x (except 2.2) are:

    <key>lb</key>
    <array>
    <array>
    <string>961</string>
    <string>00</string>
    <string>0</string>
    <integer>1</integer>
    <integer>6</integer>
    </array>
    <array>
    <string>961</string>
    <string>00</string>
    <string>0</string>
    <integer>2</integer>
    <integer>6</integer>
    </array>
    </array>

    @ Frank8 Thank You for the fix for Pakistan it works perfectly on 2.2. However I want to try and figure this stuff out on my own and really need your help. Can you pls tell me the location where you have put in the rules for Pakistan in the Default.phoneformat file so i can dig up the rules you have made and thus be able to figure out this whole process of creating rules.

    Thanks for your help.
