save or rename original file , substitute with new , respring or restart.

Region Format is indifferent for Caller ID (is for number format)
    Wow Great it worked .

It got mistaken by the path first time.

Now if i traveled to another country , and i changed my SIM, what should i do shall i edit the /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppSupport.plist and put lb incase i went to lebanon.

Yes... The fix of it isn't so important, but it can be a kind of Caller ID Fix Collection.

    I completely remake UIDefaultFormats.phoneformat
    http://www.iphooone.com/up/img/013.zip

    It should work with/without +81.

    It has 4 groups:
    ( 3 , 9 ,
There are rules for special number like 110 (police) or toll free.
    ( 1 , 2 ,
There are rules for Tokyo (03) and Osaka (06).
    ( 2 , 6 ,
There are rules for 10 digits number like mobile(070,080,090) or VoIP(050)
    ( 5 , 273 ,
There are rules for all other cities.

For now I prefer to change the fewest system files, if not strictly necessary ,
to avoid trouble during firmware transition from 2.1 to 2.2

It works fine , I will add Japan in next release of CallerID Fix Collection .

It's all if you don't use a sim unlock adapter.

Yes , you set Panama in Region Format but rules are empty an you get XXXXXXXX

Frank, I keep getting the numbers displayed as a long string without formating... I've replaced the original file with the PhoneNumberTemplates.plist you provided. .. Regards, CEB

Default Lebanon Fix and Cell start with 7

    Hello All,

All the number formats of Lebanon is working perfect but there is a minor bug where in Lebanon a cell phone can start with 70 and a fixed line with 7 , so no fixed line start with 70 and it 10 digit length while cell phone can be 70 and 11 digit length.

    here is an example

    + 961 70 123 456 cell phone
    + 961 7 123 456 fixed line

This is how it should be displayed, but right now it is displayed like this

    + 961 70 123 456 (cell correct)
    + 961 71 23 456 (fixed incorrect) the 7 should be alone.

I think fixing this is done on the UIDefaultFormats.phoneformat , but i am unable to edit the file can some one show me how to do that , may be i can fix it and update the forum back.
