    Default [Solved]iPhone Totally Dead?

Okay, after the release of the beta of winpwn today, i thought i'd give it a whirl.

So what i did, basically, was select ONLY to use custom images (nothing else), i used ZiPhone (i know... don't shoot), to put the phone into restore mode. Then i uploaded the custom FW. Everytime i tried, i got an error 1046 that it couldn't restore the phone. So i got tired of trying to add those images (ipsw's), so... since nothing had actually installed a FW... i used iBrickr to boot out of Recovery mode (which it did just fine). Then... the phone itself rebooted... and when it did it did the little spinning circle (loading thing), like it was expecting a firmware to be installed, and then it just constantly restarts and repeats that process like it's expecting to install a new FW... but iTunes, iBrickr, ZiPhone... nothing is any good because the phoen just constantly restarts itself...

    Any suggestions?

Not sure what you did but how about doing a DFU restore with firmware 1.1.4 first. Manually put phone in "DFU" mode then shift-click restore and select 1.1.4 fw.

When that is done, you can try the pwned process again by putting phone in "restore" mode and proceed

It also sounds like you didn't press the "ipwner" button before restoring with custom firmware.

Use Iliberty to put the phone in recovery mode AND kick it out - you don't need to use Ziphone AND iBrikr! www.ipluspwns.com

    I got it fixed.

Thumbs up to both of you.
