Hi all

I have a 2G device that was previously activated, j/b and unlocked on 1.1.4 with ziphone. No problems there until it was pwned with v2.0 of PwnageTool.

Since then, the thing would shut down - black screen with spinning wheel in the middle once battery was between 50% and 75%. If I turn it back on, it shuts down again after putting the SIM PIN in. So I found this would only happen if it was connected to the mobile network (vodafone UK) - if I didn't enter the PIN for the SIM card, everything was fine.

Also since then, I bought an iPhone 3G whilst planning to ditch vodafone. I unpwned the 2G, activated using the O2 SIM and the battery ran all the way down.

I have downgraded it back to 1.1.4 (including baseband) and pwned using PwnageTool v1.1 - same problem!!

Trouble is my wife is on vodafone and wants to use the old phone, but can't! I got such an earful about it when I got home from work!

Has anyone else had this problem or have any suggestions?
