Default [PwnageTool] WiFi known networks annoying issue

If you have a solution to this, you'll get lots of rep points from me. My daughter's dance school has a wifi network that I use when I go pick her up and I am waiting for her. Every time I use it, when I go home, my pwned iPhone does not automatically connect with my home WiFi. Indeed, even when I try to connect manually, I get the message 'cannot connect.' The easy fix is to turn off and on the phone. It immediately connects automatically. This nuisance appeared only after pwning the phone.

    Anybody with similar problems?

Is there any fix that does not involve restoring, resetting, 'forgetting' the dance school network?

    Thanks

I am using two pwaged iPhones since the technique got introduced. Step by step I connected all Wi-Fi networks of friends, my favourite greek restaurant etc. It always works switching automatically hen I show up. Never had any issue like the one you are describing.

Yeah, I did not think it was a widespread issue, there would be more threads on this. I was just hoping that somebody else had a similar issue and found a quick solution. My machine must have some minor baseband issues. I have some tiny problems with iTunes store (I can preview, buy, and download, but if I buy an album I only manage to download the first song, and have to finish downloading from the laptop), and one day when I declined to join a wifi network I lost EDGE and had to reset all network settings. All these little problems, it seems to me, have the only common denominator of the baseband, I can't think of anything else. But the problems are minor enough that I don't think it is worth re-flashing it.

    Any other idea?

    Thanks

Have you tried the dev-team wifi fix found on their website(http://wikee.iphwn.org/sgold_bootrom:fixwifi)? dont think it is for this kind of problem but it is worth a try.

    No, dont use it here.

Check the dev team's information here

    http://wikee.iphwn.org/sgold_bootrom:fixwifi

The tool fixes the grey wifi problem - when your phone can make and receive calls but wifi (and/or bluetooth) is grey. This happens when your baseband nvram gets corrupted for some reason (like some buggy unlocking programs).

CAUTION! This fixer should not be used unless you have the grey wifi problem described above!
This is not an issue of greyed wifi, so dont use it.

mmmh...i'll give it a try. obviously, the real test will happen next time I come back home after using the dance school network. i'll let people know.

just to make sure we are on the same page: you had a problem reconnecting to your home network after being connected to some other wifi network, correct?

This is not an issue of greyed wifi, so dont use it.

I agree with volkspost. People should use dev team's fixwifi only for greyed out wifi, not for a minor issue like mine. They could get things much worse otherwise.

No if there is nothing needing to be changed the devteams wififix doesn't change anything if it doesn't need to.

Well ... true ... but .... the caution/warning from the Dev Team wikee is clear. Don't use it if you don't have such problem. Just minimize your risk ...

Regarding OP's wifi issue. I think doing the "forget this network" may work. If not, try settings - general - reset - reset all settings.
