Default [PwnageTool] Ready for 2.0 Firmware ?

Are we current iPhone owners going to be able to install firmware v.2.0 when it becomes available (probably this week)? I just read this possibly scary news.

Seems credible. The new hardware may be much harder to crack, but what about jailbreaking and unlocking the new firmware?

I should think the Dev Team have a trick or two up their sleeve seeing as they stopped updating PwnageTool for new 2.0 betas since they switched to IMG3 format. I assume this is so Apple don't find (and patch) their approach to jailbreaking.

i think that the Dev Team have it all sorted out. Perhaps they have been working away on another exploit in 2.0 which allows jailbreaking of OTB 3G iPhones? (the appleimage2noraccess bug will be fixed).

I think what they will do is as soon as 2.0 is available for public download, they will release PwnageTool 2.0. It will be the fastest jailbreak release ever. And they might do the same if they can jailbreak OTB 2.0s.

I agree, plenty of silence now

This could be very good for them to silence ziphone, but I also suspect ziphone has got a trick up his sleeve too, loads of activity on his blog lately

yeah, Zibri is up to something. Somehow he is getting into those 2.0's (im not sure if its pwnagetool or his own method). Some would say hes using pwnagetool, others he has his own. Head over to http://pumpkinpat.ch/ and have a read of whats there

Dude, that is a joke lol. It's way different than what it is being made out to be, there is no 'super crypto', trust me.

Dev Team have their own blog look here http://blog.iphone-dev.org/ Latest entry just 3 days ago says that they know how to resize the root partition. This means that they keep on working on pwnage tool and I pretty sure that they got latest beta working and if apple doesn't change anything they will be able to jailbreak it instantly Just my opinion.
