    Why didn't you read the FAQ!?

    It clearly tells you that and anything else you wanted to know!
    iPhone US 8GB
    FW 1.0.2--> iUnlock--> iPhoneSIMfree--> 1.1.1 --> 1.1.2--> Soft upgrade 1.1.3 --> 1.1.4 using signal.app
    iPhone UK 16GB
    FW 1.1.3 OOB --> 1.1.4 --> iPlus 1.2 unlocked!

    <----If I helped you out, rep points are always nice (thanks for that idea!)

    when you "pwn" the phone, the custom ramdisk patches out your iBoot's integrity checks. this means that it will accept "hacked" restore files. Without this, iTunes will give you an error (cant remember the number, its something like 6). Pwnage can be easily reversed, as the official and unpatched iBoot is included in every restore file, meaning that you can just restore to an official ipsw, and the original iboot will be flashed over.

    Pwning relies on iBoot to accepting unsigned stuff. But its not that easy, as you must first patch iBoot while it is on the phone. and it is very hard to do that while it is on the phone, its protected.

    And once iBoot has been "pwned" on your device, you can now restore to ipsw's which contain the patched iBoot, as the one on your phone will no longer care if apple made it no not.

    Also, you can restore to a normal ipsw which contains an official and unpatched iBoot, and you will be back to normal. But the problem here is that the actual "pwning" procedure only works on 1.1.4, as it uses the ramdisk exploit. PwnageTool does not offer support for 1.1.3, and 1.2/2.0 has patched it. So it is good that apple have it in the restore files.

    But remember to undo all your changes in BootNeuter first - apple does not include original bootloaders in the restores, meaning that those changes will not be reversable unless you use bootneuter. So it is best to return your iPhone to it's original bootloader, turn unlock to "off" and neuter to "off"

    hope this helps
