    Default [PwnageTool] Fails on 1.1.4

    Morning,

I've got a phone from a friend of mine. The Phone was OTB unlockt. jailbroken and activated with iliberty+ 1.5 on mac, but his wifi can't find any networks anymore after 2 weeks. So I put the phone in DFU mode and did a restore in itunes with firmware 1.1.4.
So after restoring I used pwnage tool 1.1 but during the pwning proces I could see a couple of times a textline on the iphone with: InterruptOccurred unknown ....
So the phone was not pwned at all, so I dit it with iliberty+ again and that wen't well, but could see the same textlines a couple of times on the phone, but the phone worked, but got the same problems with the wifi, it isn't grey, but can't find any networks.

Now I tried a couple of time pwning, but the textlines keeps coming back and the pwning proces stops.
I even tried Ziphone 3.0 on windows and winpwn, but the same messages keeps coming back.

Does anybody knows these problems? And how I can deal with it.

    hmm this is strange...

It seems that this happens whenever you boot into a ramdisk. You are in Recovery mode and not DFU when pwning, aren't you? There isn't much I can think of...

Some of my suggestions might sound stupid but its good to try things even if no one thinks (even me sumtimes) that they will work

Try a different USB port on the computer
Make sure you are in recovery mode and not dfu when pwning

What stage during the pwn does that message come up?

I'm sorry, didn't read the rules. How can I change the topic title?

I really nead an answer, because pwning fails every time.

ok, i guess i met this before during pwning some friend's phones:
    i tried those:
    1) trying another Stock 1.1.4 to restore without any activation/unlocking
    2) do ipwner from the Mac
    3) PWN ur new Stock 1.1.4 FW and restore from Windows

if the ipwner process itself fails, try restoring to Stock 1.1.4 couple of times then try again

Hi, I've tried it for a couple of days now, I think for 12 times straight in a row right now.
I've made a picture during the pwning process.
    Maybe somebody can tell.

You have not told us what you actually did to the phone before you pwned... be clear exactly.

Restore to 1.1.4 apple firmware. Let iTunes detect the iPhone.

Load the 1.1.4 firmware into pwnagetool then click "Ipwner".

It should work. If it doesn't I suggest you download the original pwnagetool from the pirate bay and try that - do a search for pwnagetool.app - do not let it update and it also includes the bootloaders...

Then try with that. IF it fails again try winpwn on a windows computer to initially pwn the phone. Remember to restore after each failed attempt!

If it still doesn't work then let us know and it will be up to the devteam to suggest what to do.

I would quickly suggest a few more things - make sure you have at least 500MB space left on your hard drive. I also suggest you delete any old ramdisks from the phone - there is a thread about that with pwnage failing as the title like yours!- as that could also be causing issues.

First, when I got the phone from the UK, I used iliberty+ on my PC at work that worked great. After 2 weeks wifi couldn't find any accesspoints. The wifi wasn't grey, but only didn't find any networks.

So I did a 1.1.4 restore in itunes on my mac at home and run pwnage tool on my mac, then the error occurred for the first time, but I ignored it and tried to restore a custom 1.1.4 firmware made on pwnage tool in itunes, I've got an error 1604 in itunes.

Once again I restored the original 1.1.4 firmware in iTunes and used iliberty+ on my mac, the same error on screen happened, but the iPhone worked, jailbroken, activated and unlocked. BUT the problem with the wifi is still the same, it can't find any accesspoints, it just keeping circling.

So a few days later, we have 2 days off in the netherlands, and a dozen times of restoring on 2 Vista PC's and my imac and trying to use pwnage and iliberty the error occurres every time, at the same point on both programs.

I also de-installed every program and firmwares and downloaded and re-installed it again. Nothing works.
Could it be a hardware problem?

Edit: Mayby it helps for an anwser, but Bluetooth works with my handsfree carkit.

You didn't mention the initial pwning stage of pwnage.

Rememeber you have to select the 1.1.4 firmware in pwnagetool then press "iPwner" BEFORE you can restore using custom firmware... 1604 can be because your forgot to do that first stage. EVERY time you restore to original iPhone firmware you have to use the "iPwner" button or it won't work!

IF that still does not fix it then (if you read the FAQ) you will also see that 1604 is due either to your USB ports not agreeing with iTunes - in which case you have to swap USB ports and/or computers to make it work and it is perfectly possible you may have the same error on 3 computers at the same time! in which case you have to use someone elses!

I've tried everything you mentioned. First I load an original 1.1.4 firmware in pwnagetool, then I press iPwner, the iphone is in recovery mode, it starts the pwning proces, after 15 seconds, the interruptoccurred message appears, the iPhone reboots (there is no pineapple logo, what always comes up after pwning) So the phone isn't pwned at all, but after I still tried to restore a custom firmware and that's why the 1604 error message comes up, because the phone isn't pwned at all.

Every single try, I restore an original 1.1.4 firmware and try pwnage again and again.
Even in DFU mode, I did a restore with original 1.1.4 firmware, the interruptoccurred message keeps coming up with pwnage and iliberty+

I'll try to make a video this weekend and put on my .mac account homepage of pwnage and iliberty to show you guys what I do and mean.
