[PwnageTool] Battery is going down so fast
I pwned my 1.1.2 otb phone last weekend. Now my battery lasts a lot less than it used to do before i pwned. It almost gets drained in one day. Does someone know what's the problem? I'm not using bluetooth, edge, openssh and almost no WiFi. :S And not even much phone calls.

probably you have pwned and upgraded the firmware to 1.1.3 or 1.1.4, that is a problem in those versions, also there are many threads discussing this battery drain issue in 1.1.3 and 1.1.4

and if you load 2.0 beta to your iPhone and have Exchange email setup, your iPhone will last about half a day.
which version are you running?

I have no Navizon. I was on 1.1.2 and I updated to 1.1.4 and then pwned. (If i didn't that way I couldn't pwn my phone) I have no running apps, no mail, nothing!

I am on 1.1.4, my wife is on 1.1.2
I can tell you, the difference is really big.....
1.1.4 is a pain for the battery. Maybe almost factor 2 !!!!!
Its not an issue related to the pwnage tool..... The title of the thread should be change or the post should be move into an other subforum.....

You guys have something running in the backgrund thats causing this as I am on 1.1.4 and noticea battery boost. I now last over 2 days without needing to charge whereby I used to HAVE to charge every evening. Check if you have ssh always on or wifi always on.

I had the same issue it didnt last 24 hours (that means I had to fill the battery every night) but suddenly after a month or so (I dont know what happened, probably uninstalled something) but the battery is fine now. Some people report that Navizon is draining the battery...

I am running 1.1.4 and battery is really fine. Last week I was using phone only for phone calls and texts and I had 7 days of standby and 5 hours of usage. I do not have pwnage but I do not think that is a issue. Like a toyanucci said some program is draining your battery.

Thats my strong opinion as I had geo's 1.1.4, zibris 1.1.4 and now pwnage 1.1.4 and all are the same batterylife. I use bossprefs to turn ssh and other stuff off when not in use and I recommend it. I dont use novizon but many others report it is a huge drain which runs in the background.
This is the reason apple wont allow "official" 3rd party apps to run in the background as folks will complain about stuff like battery life and blame the iphone instead of the apps which cause it.
Just to add in, I use wifi extensively daily plus I play icoptor (lol) and othergames as well as listen to music at least 1.5 hrs each day and I still get about 2 days out of it, so u guys are definately doing something wrong or have somethin installed which is the root of ur prob.

Independent of the unlock methode used the setting Ask to Join Network in Setting|Wi-Fi is turned on by default in version 1.1.4. This setting was not set in 1.1.2by default. My feeling is that this setting is using a lot of battery and after switching it of my battery stays ok for about 2-3 days.
I hope this information will help.
